Thailand, Final Thoughts

As I sit at one of our local coffee shops here back in Portage, MI, I look back & think about the time Becky & I spent in Northern Thailand. Still not sleeping at night due to the 11 hour time difference, I look back and I can some up the trip in one word. HOPE.... The children of "Faith Village Orphanage"
The elephant Becky & I rode
have been through so much, from being in the children's army to the death of parents. After all of the adversity, the kids of Faith Village always managed to have a smile on their face.

On this trip I had numerous highlights; fellowship with the leadership team, fellowship with our team from Lake Center Bible Church (the church we call home), and spending quality time with the children of Faith Village.

The children had so much love to give, so much energy, and had their belief in our lord savior. A couple of the highlights with the kids were watching them color in coloring books & crafts with the girls, having a water balloon fight (where I seemed to have had the big target on my back), and playing American football in the river on a hot 107 degree day.
A scary bridge we had to cross

I can never forget about the scenery of the area of Thaton where we were. It was absolutely breath taking. I kept telling members of our team to pinch me because, I couldn't believe the beauty the area had to offer. The beautiful mountain views, although it was a bit scary driving to Thaton due to my fear of heights. The  plant life of the area was certainly without a doubt a spectacle. Ranging from flowers of bright colors to tall standing palm trees, overlooking the mountains & river that flowed through the valley.

Becky has been hearing this from me on multiple accessions that, we would move there if we could. I
Caleb one of the awesome kids of faith village
fell in love with the people, their culture, the scenery, the children of Faith Village, and not to mention the work that God is doing there. So I say this to myself & to whoever is reading this that, I will be back to Thailand very soon!!!! God bless

Greg
